Happy Birthday JANS!

One of the many wonderful people I have met through www.tallyscrapper.com.  Jan is a sweetheart and I have really enjoyed getting to know her more and more over the last year.  She's been with Tally since the beginning I think and has a true heart for family history.  She is a design team member this quarter, just in time for the luscious vintage kit, which she rocked!

Here's a little mini taste of her great work, and if you LOVE the vintage-y ones rush to Tally and buy that kit before its sold out!

Online Rally at Tally!

This weekend is a big bash for www.tallyscrapper.com!  Its their one year anniversary this weekend and lots of fun is planned.  I am gonna be hanging out there on and off all weekend and digging into all the great challenges! 

Hopefully by the time the weekend is over we'll have some new members and a big party hangover!

Be Careful What You Wish For

So SOMEONE was whining because he took the care and time and attention to mail me a CD of photos and then I hadn't scrapbooked any of the pictures that he was in.

How's this?

Anyone else?  Actually, as the journaling says, in our family, being called weird is a complement.  The weirder you are, the more we like you.  The little card is one I picked up at a shop here in town that is actually named that.

The colors were just too perfect to pass up, not to mention the title fit how Scott and I feel about Wes.

He's off now I believe on a cross country bike trip to start a film job that will last most of the month.  Wishing him well on this next adventure!

Am I doing it too?

One thing that I really hate is when I get all interested in a scrapbookers blog and then they stop posting their layouts on their blog...

I think I might be guilty of this because I know that six of my seven readers see my work elsewhere.

Still, I use this as my back up should those layouts ever burn up, so I need to still post them here too.

So here goes!

Although I'm not fond of this last layout, I love the pictures and I love the 6 x 12 size I've been trying out from time to time lately.  I love the ratio of it, very useable.

i think some people think i'm addicted to scrapbooking.  i know what an addict looks like, and it ain't me.

i just really, really like it!

Design Team

So...you all know how much I HAVEN'T been into the hype of scrapbooking, the commercial side, right?

How I've only one time submitted a layout to a magazine as a fresh face?  How I just really don't go there?

Well, TallyScrapper has changed my mind a little bit.  I love this group of women and a coupla men, and I've been so inspired there that I want to be a bigger part of it all.

So, between now and July 2 three of my layouts are in the July Design Team Challenge vying for the most points among a huge group of amazing scrappers.  In order to vote for me, if you are so inclined, you would need to register on www.tallyscrapper.com, and easy process, but let me tell you, registering will change your life!  So beware!

What I've been Doing

So for the three people whe read my blog, I feel an explanation is in order.  I mean I used to post nearly daily and lately, once or twice a week is a stretch.  The month of June has been a weird one.  I agreed to do a self portrait a day challenge with my mom, and I've created 55 layouts!  Yes, in one month!  In addition, I'm helping out my brother and of course there is still laundry and dishes and that sweet little boy Andrew...well you see my point.

I'm sure things will slow down for a bit of introspection soon.  The self portrait challenge ends in 10 days, I can't keep creating layouts at this rate, and Andrew has day camps coming up soon.

In the meantime, here is a taste of the madness that is June!
